Hello, my name is Affan from Indonesia. On this blog I want to document my journey in learning to draw, create illustrations, comics, and other painting arts.

Why does this blog exist

It has been a long time since I wanted to learn to draw, but this is the first time I have the opportunity to do it. This blog actually exists to collect documentation of my learning, such as pictures, journals, and my processes. I want to write down all my processes so that others can learn them too, and maybe join the study with me.

Besides that, I also hope that by creating this blog I can practice my English skills (considering English is not my main language) as well as my writing skills. Also, I hope this blog can be a first step for me to connect with other artists or other people who also want to learn to draw.

What I Want To Achieve

My final goal is to be able to make the comic I want. When I was little I used to like to draw, and I've also drawn comics (although they are more like fan-art comics. I make comics from existing titles). I like it because maybe I was inspired by my brother who also likes to draw.

Even though my drawing is not good, but I often miss the feeling of joy when drawing freely as a child, putting a pencil on paper feels very liberating, for some reason.

I want to draw a comic, and be able to draw anything in my mind into reality. I want to be able to draw something beautiful. And explore this forgotten hobby of mine.

What are the contents of this blog

There will be some content on this blog, namely:

Journal:
I will write down my feelings, thoughts, and processes every day on this blog.

Tips, Tricks, Tutorials:
If there is a good way to draw that I find, I will write it too.

Tools:
Good tools (analog, digital, online) that I found helps to draw will also be written here.

Art (illustration, comic, etc) of the result of my learning proccess.
